Senior Administrative Assistant

Hours of work: 34.5 to 37 hours per week - Monday to Friday, term time

Salary: £23,115 (Grade C / Step 1) to £24,140 (Grade C / Step 5) Full-Time Equivalent    

Contract Type: Permanent

Starting date: 1 September 2024

At Queen’s Inclosure, we are seeking to appoint an experienced, caring, friendly and hard-working colleague to support the efficient day-to-day running of our busy school office.

We have a great community of staff, parents and volunteers who work together to support and care for the children and are looking for an enthusiastic, committed and self-motivating individual who;

  • has previous experience working within a school Admin Team.
  • has excellent IT skills, including a good knowledge of Microsoft Office and school-based software such as Arbor and IBC.
  • has GCSE grade C / Level 4/5+ in Maths and English with high standards of numeracy and literacy.
  • has excellent administrative and organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • has a positive and professional manner with high expectations.
  • can work under pressure, prioritise tasks and cope with frequent interruptions.
  • can interact sensitively, tactfully and confidentially with children and adults whilst adhering to all safeguarding procedures. 
  • is a cheerful, friendly team player who demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills, honesty, integrity and a sense of humour.
  • is willing to engage in a programme of continuing professional development.
  • is keen to take a full and active role in the life of the school.

Senior Administrative Assistant Role Profile

Learning Support Assistant

We are looking to recruit Learning Support Assistants (Fixed Term and Permanent). 

Hours of work: 17.5 – 25.5 hrs per week - Monday to Friday, term time

Salary Full Time Equivalent: Grade B2 from £20,812 to C3 £21,577 depending on qualifications and experience

Start date: To be agreed at the interview stage

We are looking for enthusiastic, hard working and dedicated LSAs to support the children across our school.  This may be with all the children in a classroom, or supporting an individual or group. You will need to be flexible, adaptable, resourceful and patient as the role will be varied, exciting and also very rewarding. 

Applicants should have:

  • recent, relevant experience working as an LSA, or volunteering in an Infant or Primary School setting
  • high standards of literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE Maths and English language A* - C or equivalent)
  • excellent IT skills including a good knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • an appreciation of the importance of confidentiality, honesty, and integrity
  • a positive and professional manner with high expectations and excellent attention to detail

They should also be:

  • a cheerful, friendly team player who demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills and a sense of humour
  • able to relate well to children, parents, and colleagues
  • flexible and adaptable, with the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • willing to take a full and active role in the life of the school.
  • Understanding or experience in supporting children with Language and/or social communication difficulties would be highly beneficial.
